Fire Protection for Beach Park is provided by the following Fire Protection Districts: Beach Park, Newport, Winthrop Harbor and Warren-Waukegan Fire Protection Districts. Residents are provided 24 hour emergency Fire and EMS response through E9-1-1 Communications.
The Fire Protection Districts are below:
Beach Park Fire Protection District is responsible for providing fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to a district of approximately 10 square miles that encompasses the majority of The Village of Beach Park and some of the immediate unincorporated area surrounding the Village of Beach Park. We proudly serve approximately 15,000 residents as well as daily commuter traffic between Wisconsin and the Chicago area.
Newport Fire Protection District is located in the Northeastern corner of Illinois in Lake County on the Wisconsin border. Newport serves portions of Old Mill Creek, Wadsworth, Beach Park, and Unincorporated Lake County. Newport’s Station located on Caroline Ave in Wadsworth is staffed 24 hours a day with 4 members, supplemented with a scheduled rotation of on-call staff ready to respond from home.
Warren-Waukegan Fire Protection District serviced by the Gurnee Fire Department, is located at 4580 Old Grand Ave. in Gurnee with a second station located at 6581 Dada Dr. in Gurnee. The department currently protects approximately 60,000 people in a 30 square mile area, with a daytime population in excess of 150,000. The department provides 24-hour fire and rescue services. All firefighters are also required to be licensed paramedics.
Winthrop Harbor Fire Protection District is located at 830 Sheridan Road in Winthrop Harbor, IL. The functions of the Fire Department include fire prevention through public education and code enforcement, fire control and extinguishment, hazardous materials response, rescue operations, and emergency medical services.
